One person can make a difference!By a customer from North London , 25 Mar 2007
[Highly rated reviewer]I really enjoyed watching this excellent movie: it was informative in so many ways. It was foremostly a well documented part of history and the story of a very interesting man's life and how he contributed towards making life better for mankind. It was interesting to watch Wilberforce spend years battling to get the bill through Parliament
to abolish slavetrading, and yet get nowhere but he never gave up. I walked away thinking how true it is that we are all more powerful than we give ourselves credit for. One person CAN make the difference! Watch this, it's really a brilliant film !

Stirring StuffBy Phoebings (8 reviews) , 30 Sep 2013Quite inspirational and a model for modern politicians. Fills in a lot of gaps I had about slavery and its abolition. Shows you how far we have come.. and how pivotal social justice should continue to be for us all.
Astoundingly amazingBy a customer , 25 Sep 2013Great film about a little known man. Good casting and scenery. Very well filmed and kept my attention all the way to the end.
Well worth a watch for historical reasonsBy a customer , 15 Aug 2013Very good historical re-enactment of what went on. OK - a bit compressed due to time but well worth it. Good acting!

Amazing indeedBy a customer , 28 Aug 2012Wonderful depiction of true story. The acting is superb and the screenplay sharp and interesting. Full of drama and action, beautifully paced.
Albert Finney should have had an award ( did he?)
