Childhood memoriesBy mildperil (1 review) from Calne , 03 Oct 2007
[Highly rated reviewer]I've wanted to watch this mini series again since it first came out on DVD, memories (if slightly faded) of a childhood watching these fascinating mini stories from the brilliant mind of Steven Spielberg!
Obviously dated these tales still awaken that child like feeling inside of you. As you watch in amazement you are taken on a fantasy journey along some of the strangest, funniest and emotional stories all captured in short 15-20 minute installments.
Some famous faces pop up along the way which was a welcome treat, some of which have gone on to much bigger and better things!
Overall it was well worth watching again. Weather it's films, mini-series or even cartoon's (remember Pinky & The Brain or Tiny Toon Adventures) Spielberg can do no wrong. Genius!

Serious...no, Silly...yes, and sooo Funny!!By laneyb (312 reviews) from Rochester, Kent , 16 Feb 2013I vaguely remember this series of short stories, I must admit i enjoyed watching them, well the first disc anyway. Looking forward to the others. Not really sure other's were expecting but surely it was obvious it was going to be a bit dated!! I like to watch things from when i was growing up, and i found these to be, yes, silly, but so what, makes a change from serious!! Loved Mummy Daddy, sooo funny. The mission was my scond fave. Roll on disc 2.
More voodoo nonsense than a dozen Aussie filmsBy Oozoid (72 reviews) from Ayr , 28 Jul 2012The only thing 'amazing' about this is why Spielberg would want to be associated with this archaic garbage. I have tried only disc 1 of the series but I'll be wasting no money nor time on any more.
O.K.By a customer from England , 01 Nov 2010Not bad. A bit boring.
Too sillyBy a customer from Alnwick , 25 Aug 2010Certainly dated. Hated it. Dont waste your time watching. I was fooled into watching this by the big names Spielberg, Scosese, Keifer Sutherland etc but I couldnt watch it all the way through it was just too silly. Didnt find it entertaining at all. Sorry.
okBy greyfox (119 reviews) from Whitstable , 18 Aug 2008These were ok but a bit silly, when they first was released on t.v they were probly a lot better.
