    [Highly rated reviewer]

There is no narrative to this film which is made up of a series of intense duets, solos and group dances. Beautifully shot and the choreography although not mindblowing repays repeated viewing.

  • Distractingly arty...

    Rated - 1.0 star

It must have been a nightmare for the dancers to rehearse and perform - much 'tournant en pointe' and semaphore-like arm waving, with men-in-suits leaping around to little purpose. (They would all probably have found preparing for 'Le Sacre due Printemps' a doddle.)

I didn't find it aesthetically pleasing and the camera work - although unique (thank goodness) didn't help. It's was surely inspired after perhaps a (potential director/producer/choreographer?) group got together over a few drinks and decided it would be interesting to throw some skilled dancers into an apparently moveable box, add some dimension-changing lighting, swill them around and film them. Enigmatic? Yes. Entertaining for me? No. But don't let me put you off this odd, but unique, experience.

    And who, incidentally, is Amelia?
