An Emotional Experience
By a customer from Kent, England , 30 Sep 2004[Highly rated reviewer]
This is the event where the A-list of showbiz got together not long after 9/11, to raise funds for the victims of the tragedy. Top Hollywood actors including Tom Hanks, Tom Cruise and Will Smith tell stories of bravery from the terrible day, and some of the world's top singers -including Mariah Carey, Stevie Wonder, Bon Jovi and Sting -to name but a few, give incredible performances. An amazing event to watch in rememberance of all those who suffered as a result of that day. Stongly recommend viewing.- Was this review helpful to you?

Some Good Stuff
By a customer from Kent , 23 May 2007I cannot deny there was some excellent material on this dvd, Neil Young and Eddie Vedder were fantastic and very moving, Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel were superb - and the actors obviously put much emotion into their parts - especially Julia Roberts, who was struggling to hold back her tears, and moved me to tears!
The was obviously hastily put together, but for all the right reasons, and I have no doubt that all who took part did so with the best will in the world, and even if it seems somewhat 'old hat' now, I do not feel we can ever get over the horror of 9/11 - nor should we forget the incredibly brave actions of the heroes on that day. For this reason watch it!- Was this review helpful to you?

Good, but....
By Laura from Midlands, UK , 13 Jan 2007.....I got the DVD for one reason (EV) but was looking forward to seeing bands pay tribute to America. The bands were good, but to me some of the personalities speaking between the songs felt insincere.
Also the ending was so damn cringeworthy, I had to fast forward it!- Was this review helpful to you?
