  Ridley Scott's newest effort American Gangster has beaten Beowulf to the top of the UK box office chart. For the weekend beginning November 16th, American Gangster took approximately £2.56 million while Beowulf debuted with around £2.19 million, according to AC Nielsen data.   American Gangster continues UK box office reign

  There was little change at the UK box office this week as Ridley Scott's New York epic American Gangster stayed at number one for the second week. According to AC Nielsen, the weekend beginning November 23rd saw the film take another £1.82 million in receipts, putting it ahead of Beowulf once again.   Russell Crowe is set to make a foray into kung fu - he's teaming up with Wu-Tang Clan founder Rza to star in a new movie. The Gladiator actor will appear in The Man With the Iron Fist alongside the hip-hop star, who will also be directing the film. RZA, real name Robert Fitzgerald Diggs, who has previously worked with Crowe on Ridley Scott's American Gangster and upcoming movie The Next Three Days, will play a blacksmith in the film, but the star is keeping Crowe's role under wraps.
