American Roots Music
Originally broadcast for PBS, AMERICAN ROOTS MUSIC is a four-hour documentary about the evolution of the United States' unique musical heritage that is divided into four different parts. The program explores the myriad of different overlapping indigenous musical genres, including folk, gospel, blues, country, bluegrass, Cajun, tejano, and even zydeco. Featured musical performers are legends including Bob Dylan, Mahalia Jackson, Muddy Waters, Woody Guthrie, Bessie Smith, and several others.

Watch these DVD's if you want to know more about American Roots Music (OBVIOUSLY!! Haha!) A wee bit boring at times, but really educational.
