…do you like large rubber and/or computer-generated snakes that eat people?

If the answer is ‘No’ then you may wish to stop reading, press the ‘Back’ button on your browser and run a search for something like Atonement – something with strong character development, plot twists, believable dialogue and definitely no monstrous snakes eating and then regurgitating people whole.

However, if the answer is ‘Yes’ then give it a go.

Come on, what are you expecting from this film? An Oscar-winning performance? It has J-Lo in it for goodness sake! It has mutant snakes and a boatload of disposable characters who you know are going to end up in a snake’s gut. It’s a ‘monster-munching’ movie plain and simple. Lower your expectations and you might just have a bit of fun with this one.

Expect Shakespeare and be disappointed.

About the reviewer: TheWatchman

34 year old suburbanite and part-time zombie. Shuffles the daylight hours between slowly destroying the few brain cells I have left by sitting at an office desk 9-5, and existing in a parallel universe where I control the world and all the little otters in the pond. By night I'm normally asleep and miles away from my rapidly decaying body. I dream a lot too. I'm not quite sure whether I dream more during the day or the night, all I know is that people keep accusing me of talking to myself. That probably means I'm either reliving a past event (and changing it to how I wanted it to work out) or preparing some future conversation (and trying to work it to my advantage).
