I am redefining weird on an hourly basis.By JediSi (301 reviews) from Kent , 22 Sep 2007
[Highly rated reviewer]I didnt really think this was my kind of film, and I was all set to struggle to the end. I love comedy, I love gangster films, but putting the two together is asking for trouble. Or is it?
Its an easy to watch, fairly funny, nice film with a bit of swearing to make it not too nice.
Good performances all round go towards making this light-hearted movie what it is.

Analyze ThisBy crazysexycool from Barnet, Hertfordshire, England , 09 Dec 2006I loved this film found it very funny and entertaining. Worth a watch... Good acting from Robert De Niro and Billy Crystal they both work very well together. I think Billy Crystal would make a good psychiatrist. A very good film to watch...
ok filmBy a customer from Paisley, Renfrewshire , 14 Nov 2006Funny. However was a bit predictable. Enjoyed it all the same.
Funny - pity about the languaage!By a customer from Oxted Surrey , 25 Aug 2006I was sorry that this film had to have so many F*** words. I expected some expletives because no American Gangster is going to sound like Mary Poppins, but this was almost every other word, and meant that I had to watch it in adult company only. Shame because it was funny.
Thumbs downBy MariElaina (27 reviews) from Bury St. Edmunds , 24 Jun 2006Got to agree with 'A Customer from manchester'.
I saw this at the cinema & am a big de Niro fan usually but this film was a total disappointment.
The trailer had all the best bits in it - the rest of the film is just padding. Perhaps it was the script but for me de Niro efforts at doing comedy didn't come off.
Watchable ComedyBy RussnEmma (403 reviews) from London, England , 18 Mar 2006Nothing special but had some good laughs in it.
You do feel that these actors are wasted with this script and should have been able to produce a much better film.
De Niro plays his usual classic gangster which is always good to watch.
If you want a light-hearted laugh with no real complicated plot then this is for you!
