I have seen many great versions of ' Anastasia' like the Ingrid Bergman one, for example. but this animated version is a must see. Basically it starts with a party at the Tsar & Tasarina's russian Winter Palace. the party is ruined by corrupt monk Rasputin{voiced by Christopher Lloyd}who falls through the ice. but returns from the dead with his white fruit bat sidekick Bartok{voiced by Hank Azaria}. basically Anastasia is one of many of the Princesses of Russia. she forgets who is she is and goes by the name ' Anya' and is destined for Paris where she hopes to be reunited with her family. What then occurs is Anastasia{voiced by Meg Ryan} joins forces with con artist Dimitri { John Cusack} who she dose she know is actually using her to make money out of an Anastasia lookalike. oh, Dimitri has his own best buddie named Vlad{voiced by Frasier's Kelsey Grammer.}

i could go on forever with how great this film is. Angela Lansbury has a lovely voice as Anastia's Grandmother.
