ARTY PORN GARBAGE

Another appalling arty-porn effort from Ms.Breillat,who spends almost as long in an interview on the dvd defending her vile little movie as we do watching it!

Claustrophobic,badly acted,intentionally vile with no real point to make on relationships/sex/femininity/gender and orientation,this film feels far longer than it's slim running time,and no amount of the director's 'intellectual' reasoning can hide the fact that this is a dull,empty exercise in shock that seems to attack it's audience's sensibilties for no reason - if you want to see strong,fiercely intelligent,shocking French cinema,plump for,say,IRREVERSIBLE or MARTYRS and leave this well alone!
