keeping it simple this is a movie made up from all the alternet scenes and variations which went into the making of the origional Anchorman film.
As such it is a moive made up of all the things which were deemed to be not as funny as what went into the origional or simply just not funny enough; and it shows when the two are compared.
That said this film is still a lot better than most of its type and especialy a lot funnier than many of the movies Will Ferrell has churned out over recent years.
I just wish that he would spend more time on quality rather than quanity! Roll on Anchorman 2 in 2010!!!- Was this review helpful to you?

B-Sides to a comedy classic

This is essentially the b-sides to the original film and it's not ashamed of it (the narrator's excuses as to why certain characters are not present are tenuous at best!).
If you're a fan of Anchorman and want to see some new footage of the Channel 4 news team then this is worth looking at; I felt that some of the scenes were funny enough to be on the original but would have had no relevance to the plot ('Son of a man-nipple!'). And besides, Ron Burgundy's in it and if you don't think that's the best thing in the world, I will fight you.- Was this review helpful to you?
