Ancient Egyptians

The four episodes of this majestic TV docu-drama vividly depicting life in ancient Egypt. Based on evidence of real events, "The Battle of Megiddo" depicts the birth of the Empire (May 19th 1458 BC), "The Tomb Robber's Tale" - October 1111 BC, dramatises a scandalous theft from the 20th Dynasty. In "Murder in the Temple" - March 632 BC four priests plot a murder and a thirty year feud brings down a powerful Dynasty. In the final episode "The Twins' Tale" - set in Egypt 164 BC, twin girls are plucked from poverty and prostitution to become virgin priestesses of the Apis Bull cult, but their mother fights to keep them at home.
