Shannon Lee, the daughter of legendary martial artist Bruce Lee, kick boxes and karate chops her way through a threadbare Hong Kong-style action adventure that clearly doesn't have the budget to match its wild ambitions. She plays a sharpshooter who teams up with her former partner, a professional thief, and two young pickpockets to steal the Tsar's Prism, the largest diamond in the Czech Republic. Lee's fine but the espionage double-crossing theatrics and explosive stunts simply aren't in the same league as her fighting proficiency. Good to see she's carrying on the great family tradition, though.
WHAT A LOAD OF RUBBISH.
The action is okay with creative choreography by Hong Kong's Yuen Tak. Although the dubbing in this movie is really bad, the plot is not that good and the sound and visual quality of the DVD is poor. I would only recommend this movie to see the daugther of Bruce Lee, Shannon Lee doing quite good martial arts sequences.
For one those standard Hong Kong action films, this is pretty standard stuff.
There are some nice fight scenes along with some nice shootout scenes as well. It's the usual fare of a standard HK film, anything less would be incriminating. Slightly annoying that this was dubbed when it was clearly visible that the actors did speak English.
They replaced Michael Wong's squeaky Steve Guttenberg style voice with a hard man's voice. It may work for some, but when you've watched in speak so softly like a fluffy teddy bear, it kind of makes you want to watch Beast Cops again.
Recommended only for HK action fans only. That or people who love watching action films drunk.
Interesting cast featuring Shannon Lee, Michael Wong, Jordan Chan and Benny "The Jet" Urquidez. This is a no brainer diamond robbery caper movie with a massive body count. Dreadful dubbing does not help. Poor acting and a somewhat muddled plot, the plus side is some entertaining OTT action from Corey Yuen that keeps you watching.........just about.
