Although it proved a disappointment at the box office, this knockabout comedy has since become something of a cult item — thanks to the sequence featuring Juhi Chawla and a bicycle. The shoot itself was more eventful than the movie, with Salman Khan falling out with his co-stars and director Rajkumar Santoshi running out of money before he had time to film the title song. Yet there is a quirky chemistry between Salman and Aamir Khan as a couple of wasters whose tussle for the affections of rich girl Raveena Tandon earns them the enmity of gangster Paresh Rawal.
must watch movie. very funny and interesting.
Old salman's good performance.
it is a good team effort
As one of the earlier reviews said ... this movie is a cult film, at least in bombay (where i'm originally from). I and my friends (and a lot of other people i know), remember each and every scene and dialogue from this movie.
The comedy is slapstick. The comedic timing is brilliant. I'd say ... more than the 2 top actors ... it's Paresh Rawal who steals the show. He is brilliant especially in the second half. He is very well supported by Aamir, Salman and Shakti.
The songs aren't worth huming. The director was quite short on money i guess, and that shows in the production values. But if you can overlook that (and leave your mind out while seeing the movie) i think this is one of the best comedies from bollywood.
SEE IT.
