I had high hopes for this, as am a great fan on most of Sir Lloyd Webbers work, however I was very disappointed at this show.
Although the show did display some brilliant Andrew Lloyd Webber classics many could have been expanded on. The show offered a wide variety, and would be good for people who enjoy all aspects of Lloyd Webber's music, but as I am only a fan of his more dramatised musicals (Jesus Christ Superstar, Whistle Down The Wind, Sunset Boulevard, Phantom Of The Opera) I do not usually like his more opera pieces. Micheal Ball was superb, with stunning performances from Antonio Banderas and Elaine Page, however the show featured Sarah Brightman in it a lot - which annoyed me, as the star selection was good, but not varied enough. Even though I enjoyed a lot of the songs, I found the whole show dull, badly linked and I unfortunateley found myself using the ffwd button on my remote far too much!
In saying this I can see the appeal for many people, and suggest you watch it to judge for yourself.
