Oh dear, what a letdown... this started off as a promising series and promptly failed to deliver. Starts off with a 2-parter but only because they couldn't wind up the purposely obtuse (i.e. weird for the sake of it) opening part of the storyline in the first 43 minutes - it takes 65 minuntes instead... The third episode is a bit contrived but at least back to the standard of series 3 and 4 - which isn't saying all that much...

This is the final series of Andromeda and one can understand why.

The problem here is that the two basic premises of the show had been lost (Dylan's quest i.e. Commonwealth vs Magog and also the Dylan/Tier relationship, both gone)

Seen in its own the last series is actually good, but nowhere near the climatic epic the fans had waited four years to see.
