    Sad to see it go

This was an excellent ending to what was an excellent show. Angel fans would agree that every season was different and Season Five was no exception to that rule. In this final season, the secrets of Wolfram and Hart are finally revealed as Angel and the gang are recruited to run the LA office. It flips everything we know on its head and brings a whole new dimension to the show...its just a shame that it was cancelled so early as I honestly think that this new format completely revitalised the programme. Generally the series is more tongue in cheek than the other seasons and you can see quite clearly that the cast are enjoying themselves. Its very lighthearted (especially in comparison to the gloomy season 4) but in many ways darker than before. A highly recommended series that (like most of Joss Whedon's programmes) finished too early. RIP Angel.

    4 more from 5

Another four classic episodes from one of the best TV shows in recent years. We are drawing close to the grand finale with "The Big Bad" getting ever close. These episodes see Gunn going through his torment for being a part of Fred's killing. We also get a re-visit from Connor. This show is still on a high. One more disc to go... and I can't wait.
