Emotional, gripping and damn right escapism!
Angel first assumes the feelings of 'buffy rip-off' or even 'another american sitcom' however after watching the series i beg to differ.
Set within Los Angeles, series 2 kicks off after a tensional climax from season one where angel was left with his friends hospitalised and his enemys bringing in a new weapon against him who we find out in this series to be a strong flame from his past.
The world of demons, monsters and figh scenes gives a feeling of escapism from the 9-5 workday and with more twists and plot turns than a kitchen sink id recommend it to anyone! -

Dark, brooding and mysterious!
Ah, gaze back in anguish at the heady days of Angel at its best - before all the craziness of future series' spoils it all!
Angel and his friends have a hard time dealing with the reality of day to day fighting evil in this series, especially since the mad, bad and dangerous to know Wolfram & Hart Lawyers are trying to thwart every turn!
Worst character: Darla - what a drip!
Best character: Lorne, The Host.
Best scene: The Host flaying the eardrums off two baddies with a high pitched Heavy Metal screech! Hilarious! -
