    [Highly rated reviewer]

Angels and Demons is the sequel to The Da Vinci Code which is also based on the novel and works of Dan Brown.

The CERN who work on experiments using antimatter through the medium of physics summon Robert Langdon the Harvard symbologist played by Tom Hanks to investigate a murder victim branded with the Illuminati ambigram and also to prevent a terrorist act against the Vatican.

Robert discovers that the Illuminati (the secret society) plan to kill four Roman Catholic cardinals and destroy St. Peter's Basilica with the stolen antimatter in the form of a bomb during a papal conclave.

This film also stars Ayelet Zurer as Vittoria Vetra who is a CERN scientist, Ewan McGregor who plays the Camerlengo Patrick McKenna and Stellan Skarsgård who plays Commander Richter the Head of the Swiss Guard.

Angels and Demons is directed by Ron Howard (formerly Richie from Happy Days).

    Well worth watching !

I really enjoyed this film. It was much better than The Da Vinci code. Tom Hanks performance was very good with an outstanding performance by Ewan. If you enjoy mystery/adventure movies I would highly recommend a watch.

This film speaks for itself realy you know what your gonna get from the outset , the illuminati and anti catholacisme .Its not as good as devinci but it is a very good film a little more hollywood and not as gritty as davinci.SEt in rome i was expecting some devine backdrops and sets but no you do get glimpses of rome but a touched up glam version .Ewan mcgregor is one of the stars and im sorry but after train spotting and blue juice he seems to have crawled up his own arse and i cant take him seriously anymore and that put a cloud over the whole film .The end to davinci was a streach but in all a nice one , the end to this was arse gravey of the worst kind .

Didn't really get into Da Vinci code and I've not read the books so I wasn't expecting to enjoy this. Really good film though, thoroughly enjoyed it. Easy to get into, grips you straight away and more twists and turns than Tom Daley at the olympics.

.... unfortunately, more holes in the plot than..... well, you get the point .Still, I've spent a worse couple of hours, probably.
