We're not in Kansas, TotoBy a customer from Glasgow , 26 Feb 2011
[Highly rated reviewer]A refreshingly un-Holywood movie. Raw, rough, tough and very realistic. Great performances, especially from the young lead and the Ma Grishom-type mother/grandmother. Really surprising sudden despatches of key characters. Recommended, although not for a cosy night in.

a bit slowBy a customer , 29 Nov 2013Not as good as other reviews. Found it a bit slow but the acting was pretty good. Don't expect loads of action.
Drama about sums it up, and that's allBy a customer , 27 Nov 2013Well acted and directed, but so slow I gave up caring about what happened to any of them when I reached halfway. I'm hoping it got better but I'd rather watch something else for the next 45 min.
This is really good stuff....By orangeboy (63 reviews) from Cardiff , 25 Oct 2013With films like this and Snowtown, who knew Australia had such a dark side. Animal Kingdom is a no nonsense and earthy movie which has brilliant performances all round. Engaging story made all the more powerful as it is based on true events. Can't recommend this enough.
Good idea, needs a real director to redoBy Fr4nch3sk4 (34 reviews) from Derby , 23 Oct 2013There was a good script here and intense actors; but I feel it could have been so much more. There was dark and gritty drama, but it never quite reached its summit. Give it a watch and see if you can see it coming.
Quality filmmakingBy takeocyber (27 reviews) , 14 Aug 2013A very good Australian crime drama with great performances. It's quite slow-paced and has a fair amount of swearing (hello there, c-word), but it's quality and is well worth a watch. And it has Guy Pearce, which is always a good thing.
