Pish, pish, pish, pish, pish!!!!!!!! The first of this trilogy 'Anne of Green Gables' was a complete delight, stayed true to the books (as much as you can on TV), and captured the spirit perfectly. The second was where the rot began, departing from L.M Montgomery's vision, with several jarring notes, but still gave you a basic gist of who Anne was. This final 'installment' is an insult to the beautiful legacy Montgomery left us. It smacks of a terrible arrogance to ignore one of the most moving Anne books, 'Annes House of Dreams' and totally and utterly invent a story that's not even the correct era! I always quite liked the cast, but they're really struggling with this, the script is terrible, the whole thing is sloppy in the extreme. My young daughter, who has read all the Anne books and seen the first 2 of the series, refused to watch the rest of this after half an hour, and I wish I had followed her example. The whole thing smacks of a money making scheme. Complete rubbish, do yourselves a favour and read the books instead. Boo Hissssssss!!!!!
