Upper-crust militarism, arrogance, sadism and homosexuality rolled up in a package which pleased the West End theatre crowds but seems faintly absurd on film. Not much of a recruiting poster for Eton.

      Alright, not especially good

Good cast. Story typical of public school life, no real surprise there then. Mediocre film. If you like Rupert Everett and Colin Firth then you may like this.

      Old School

If you like 'A Room with a View' style films this is for you. Thoroughly enjoyed it but is slow. Both Colin Firth and Rupert Everett are great.

      Another Country

A pretentious piece of writing - Rupert Everett way too old to play the part of a schoolby!

      Absolutely hated it!!

      Indifferent
