    Amusing enough spoof

A deeply silly but in its way mildly amusing takeoff of 'American Pie' and such gross-out films, the spoof element being that it's four 17-year-old boys who are desperate to have sex with men before the end of the summer. (And two of the actors are really rather attractive - not to mention the porn star Matthew Rush, for those who admire him.)

Like most spoofs it gets more than a little tiresome from time to time, and goodness knows why Graham Norton is in it as a Russian schoolteacher; it's all vulgar beyond belief, but it has its endearing side (if you really have nothing better to watch) in its completely - if wholly improbable - normalised vision of gay teens.

[I love the review from the 'real man' on this site who watched this and found the homosexuality so shocking it made him feel sick - bless! You'd think the title may have given him some hint ...]

American Pie/Scary Movie/Date Movie meets gay guys

This movie is exactly what it says on the tin, 'Another Gay Movie.' Following in the footsteps of Not Another Teen Movie, Scary Movie, Date Movie and other 'Movie' titles, this one is especially targetted to a gay audience. Offending everyone and no one, it makes a point at the same time, poking fun at itself. Only watch if you like those 'it's so bad it's funny' movies.

rude, crude and oh so camp

Didn't have any preconceptions about this film. It was funny through screwed up wincing eyes. Incredibly crude but so funny, just takes the whole date movie, american teen movie to a whole new level. They really push the boundaries of acceptability but it doesn't pretend to be anything but a funny movie. I would watch it over and over!

    Are we really that stupid?

First things first, I only gave Another Gay Movie one star because it has cute guys in it. Apart from that, it's a joke.

The fact that they even bother to suggest that it's been 'written' by someone is quite possibly libellous. This is mind-numbingly dull with humour that will only appear to the most air-headed of gays.

Why do we always get treated like morons? This is American Pie but gay. OK, fair enough, but why can't we have something with a bit of edge to it? Instead of Stifler we have butch lesbian Muffler. (Haha! Hi-larious...NOT!) And instead of straight boys we have gay boys...and Graham Norton. Playing an S&M fetishist into scat. Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice.

But then, every so often, up pops a cute boy and for a moment you forget that this is a pile of crap. But only for a minute.

    Avoid.

    Really Funny, Really Gay.

Wow, thought this might be an awful camp piss take, but instead it was a genuinely funny film that just did anything and everything to be funny. Maybe not one for you straight boys out there. Overall american pie done better and very very gay.

    Good , silly entertainment.

I'm a little bit befuddled by the likes of Andrew Mould, who seems to think he's a latter day Mary Whitehouse . Moral censorship? This is the UK, not the Bible belt Redneck states of America. What on earth gives him the moral high ground? The title of this film pretty much says it all; if you're homophobic then surely it would be prudent not to look at it; 'methinks the lady doth protest too much' might be appropriate - if not, then such a bigoted view really doesn't count for much.

This is a film which doesn't take itself seriously, it is rude, crude and very funny. Recommended.

    Worth a watch

Very sterotypical, very rude and very 'Scary Movie rip off other film's' but worth a watch as it's quite funny. Not hilarious but still a giggle. If it was more Scary Movie gag quality it would have been even more funny. Oh and dont let the fact that Graham Norton is in it put you off.
