Be warned this is a staged production for American Tv. This means that the quality isn't of the best and the production is on a shoestring budget. Largely empty of props it is the performances alone which carry the play. This is a staged reading of the play with recognisable actors playing the roles. Including a couple from Star Trek. But what does work is that you get to see a basic no thrills version of the play as written. It would be excellent for any student studying the play to crib from. Where the enjoyment comes from is seeing movie actors especially Timothy Dalton and Lynne Redgrave act together in a formal piece. Not up to the standard of the BBC productions from the 80's but well worth a watch if you have to study the play or if you want to see James Bond get serious about his craft. Lynne Redgrave's death scene is worth the 3 hours alone. Though I'm not sure it was supposed to be as funny as we found it.
