Scandal-hit actor Mel Gibson is set to produce a biblical drama about Jewish hero Judah Maccabee. Gibson is collaborating with screenwriter Joe Eszterhas to tell the story of the celebrated Jewish warrior, who defeated the Greek-Syrian armies in the second century B.C. and inspired the Hanukkah celebration. Wardens at a jail in Mexico have transferred 300 inmates to other prisons to make way for an upcoming Mel Gibson movie shoot, despite protests from the criminals' relatives. The Braveheart star is planning to film his next project at the Ignacio Allende prison in the eastern coastal city of Veracruz.
