Arachnophobia

I am actually quite amazed of how many negative reviews they are for this short documentary on spiders... this is actually a very good documentary and a lot of work and effort as gone into it... it certainly makes you realise much more the true ecology of spiders, there purpose, and there primary role in nature... Now, I to am scared of spiders, have been from an early age.. and I usually jump, run away or squash them quickly... but I will think twice in the future.. This film gives you KEY insights to where your fears come from... and even though it does not go in-depth as to why we fear them or what we can do to heal the fear... Trust Me when I say you will certainly not fear spiders as much as you did before you have watched this documentary... WHY? well because it makes you see spiders in such an in-depth way.. and by the end of the movie you will be actually grateful for your common house-spider.. because they are actually doing you a favour... and whether you believe this your not.. it is actually a very true and proven fact and this documentary helps you see spiders in a total different way to ever before. By the end of the documentary I was actually so grateful for what I had learned.. OK it does not tell you how to deal with your fear... but I know your fear will have changed just by watching this film... Centuries Ago there was a common waves tale which said 'Spiders Eat Dust' and OK spiders do not replace dusters, but they do eat something that affects & infects the dust.. in-fact you will notice that spiders appear more in dusty areas than clean areas? did you ever ask why? well the answer is simple... they do eat dust (kind of) and keep the dust clean..... in fact if it was not for spiders in our very dusty areas we would be sick more and healthy less, there is a POWERFUL REASON as to why and by watching this film you will understand why?

I think the major point that the creators of this film are failing to comprehend is that phobias are irrational fears and thus cannot simply be 'cured' by increasing our knowledge on the subject. I was hoping this documentary would look at the psychology of arachnophobia but instead got a factfile on spiders.

More scared than ever before, i dont know why they did this to me, its a big joke of a program that claims to help you, infact they are all laughing behind screen

I do suffer from arachnophobia and i thought watching this would be helpful. Well, its not at all. I got shivers, sweat and i had to stop in a middle.

So it is not a good therapy but an interesting documentary for people seeking BASIC knowledge.

Beautifully written with some lines of sarcasm that really got the message across. The filming is really good and its very easy to watch but I don't think it demostrates the amount of work they must have put into making it.
