A complete joy to watch, planting the sort of silly images that bump around in your head forever
A strained performance by Ardal O'Hanlon, often missing the comedy timing by some metres. To be fair, there were a number of funny moments during the routine, but not enough; he often didn't know whether to reprise his role of dumb priest in Father Ted, or try for something a bit more intelligent...all a bit mixed up. O'Hanlon has great potential, but he seems completely uncomfortable on stage; you get the impression that he can't wait 'till it's all over and he's back out of the spotlight...nerves mostly.
As the character of daft priest in Father Ted he excelled, but I'm afraid Mr O'Hanlon isn't so good on his own with the spotlight directly on him.
Shame, he's a likeable fellow.
Ardal O'Hanlon may be funny in Father Ted, however doing stand up he really seems to struggle. He does not seem to be natural on stage like many stand up comics.
Not many laughs during the whole performance, even the theatre audience seemed unsure where to laugh and there was not the usual laughter heard from audiences on stand up recordings.
Very disappointing.
