This version appears to be a both of Arn - The Knight Templar and Arn - The Kingdom at the End of the Road. BUT even given that it is well worth the rental, enjoyable (if a bit ott in places) and really nice to see a piece of well worn history from a completely different cultural viewpoint. Shame that they decided to slice the two films together like that really, because it does make it a little rushed and more than a few details are missing. A lot of people are comparting it to Kingdom of Heaven which I fell asleep half way through. Even compressed and rushed this is a MUCH better film, better acting, better sound track, better historical refs - even though its based on a fictional trilogy!

I don't normally like films with subtitles but this was easy to follow. Along with great fight scenes & good acting it was a very good film with a twist at the end, highly recommended.

  • Best film I've seen with subtitles

I was really concerned that with it having subtitles it would be hard to follow - don't worry there is lots of English. This film is well worth the watch, its like a Swedish take on the Kingdom of Heaven, only far far better (and fortunately much faster). Its based at the same time as the film I just mentioned and uses similar historical facts around the crusades and the re-capture of Jerusalem. What's more interesting is the civil war in what is now Sweden which surrounds this story which adds another aspect - with of course more battles!

Better than Ridley Scott's Crusades ala Hollywood. This film has a touch of epic and authenticity about it. So the battle scenes and love scenes are understated, it gains with a sense of proportion.

Movie of Epic Proportions! The characters and battles of Arn and Saladin are quite the highlights of this film. Might have been a bit cheesy at times, but on the whole well worth the watch. ENJOY

  • increasingly boring

Started out good, engaging, nice music, had potential. However after a while it seemed to become increasingly rushed with many things left completely unexplained. Was truly bored by the end. I don't reccomend
