Around The World With Willy Fog - Vol. 1

This animated children's series from the 1980s is based on the Jules Verne classic AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS--with animals, rather than humans, cast as the main characters. Willy Fog is a lion and a perfect English gentleman who accepts a wager from his men's club to travel around the world in 80 days. Together with his butler Rigadon and the charming rodent Tico, Willy sets out for his globe-trotting adventure, followed by the evil weasel Transfer, who has been hired to sabotage the trio's expedition. This collection gathers the first five episodes of the beloved children's series.

    Nostalgia!

    Reminded me of that classic first episode and also the cheap animation throughout. What I cannot understand is the random 'sailing' song that is played at random moments in each episode followed by some rather strange dancing?!

    This DVD brings back great memories from my childhood, but do be aware that this is not quality viewing like Danger Mouse or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I do intend on continue the collection, but for now, I think I need a rest from that awful 'sailing' song!

    Overall, nostalgia wins here.

    Classic Kids TV

    I Love this! Made by the same people who made dogtanian and the three muskahounds. Obvioulsy based around the jules vern novel, its great for those of us with fond memories of it as well as, i'm sure, for your kids to enjoy!
