I have to say, Willy Fog was something I remember seeing on TV in the 80's. I thought my son might like these and I wasnt wrong. With 2 hours on each disc, my son is looking forward to watching all 5.
This is harmless cartoon fun, with the standard 'hero and villan' setting. Based (quite loosely) on the well known novel, Willy travels the world with an adventure at each pause. The adventure usually relies on the baddie trying to prevent Willy from continuing by espionage or lying to the local police/king/ruler etc, with our hero always managing to escape or doing something heroic etc. Nothing but standard fare but enjoyable all the same. My son had alot to talk about after each episode and he obviously enjoyed himself.
Well this does bring back memories. So much better the the second story 'to the centre of the earth' and the animation is also better. Has a slight glitch at the start as the master tape must have cheewed when mastering the dvd, but hay this is retro cartoons at there best....
