This is my second attempt at watching this film after a gap of 6 weeks. The first time I switched it off after sitting through 40 minutes of pretentious crap. It seems this film has been made by two separate people. Despite a very talented cast, the first half seems contrived and pretentious. In the first 40 minutes it seems as if the body that looks beautiful is lacking a soul and everyone seems to be going though the motions. The second time, perhaps because I could skip though the first 10 chapters that I had seen before, I manage to persevere and that's when the film, the story, location and performances go into different gear and you find the experience rewarding. It seems as if the writer and script concentrated on the last half and the first half was put together with fluff to fill up the allotted time. The first time I only gave it one star. The second time I have given it only 3 stars because of poor first half.
