Fun but dated

It might be dated but any film with Michael Caine and Peter Ustinov is well worth watching.- Was this review helpful to you?

(5)In Michael Caine's own words...
By a customer , 28 Aug 2012The best bad film we've seen in ages! Michael Caine at his most wooden best - and a little shouty too!.
From his biography, he says...
'No you won't have heard of it, and I hope you never see it!'
I wish I'd taken his advice - be warned it's also 1:57 long!- Was this review helpful to you?

Ok not Michael Caine's best but
By lastengland (81 reviews) from Winchester , 27 Oct 2010worth a look....some mention Omar Sharif's swashbucking in it....sorry but the guy fighting alongside Michael is Kabir Bedi ~ Omar flits in at the end & runs befores the fighting starts.
A wee bit dated but then aren't most films from the 70s, we are so used to so many special effects these days.- Was this review helpful to you?

Good film from Caine
By a customer from Shropshire , 22 Sep 2005I really enjoyed watching this film. The first time I watched it was in the early 80s and I could vaguely remember that it was a good film.
Michael Caine plays his role well as the doctor who is searching for his beautiful wife played by Beverly Johnson, who gets kidnapped in Africa whilst vaccinating the local villagers. The film follows his adventure of how he struggles to hunt for her with the authorities being less than helpful.
Peter Ustinov is the bad guy and Kabir Bedi plays his role excellently as Caine's aid in searching for his wife. Other well known actors include Omar Sharif, Rex Harrison and William Holden .
There is something about these old films that cannot be reproduced in the new films that come out now. This film was good to watch.- Was this review helpful to you?

Camels and Sand
By a customer from Bristol , 08 Aug 2005Michael Caine and Omar Sharif showing their swashbuckling skills. Not edge of your seat drama but nevertheless excellant viewing. Unlike more recent films does not rely on gratuitouse sex, violence and swearing to tell the story. A pleasant change.- Was this review helpful to you?
