Most helpful review
you must play this game.
By a customer from leicester , 19 Nov 2007[Highly rated reviewer]
The controls can take a little getting used to at first but soon become second nature as long as you read the information in the tutorials. if you want to you could finish the story in a couple of days no problem but you will have to play it alot longer to get the full thousand points out of it.
It plays well and there is a jump control(i like to play a game before i review it). I would have liked to have more to do like collect /pick pocket cash to buy upgrades but thats just me being fussy.
This is one of the best looking games ever it does look much better at 1080p.- Was this review helpful to you?

A good game but not the greatest
By Mad-Hatter (1 review) , 01 May 2012After people going on so much about Assassins Creed, I decided to check the entire series out It was a good game to play and I managed to finish it and the 2nd one in a day and a half and bassed on the first 2 I probably won't continue through the series.
The graphics are good not the best i've ever seen and not worst, The game play is what concerns me though, the controls are difficult to master, during combat with 3 or more people they're difficult to use as you have to rember to do one thing and then do two other things for something else like block or dodge, but you'll manage to get there in the end.
The tasks/missions/quests to me all seem to be 'Same-Same' and after a while become quiet tedious, and another thing is for no apparent reason some of the NPC's attack you or pester you, found this on 2 occasions both were informer missions and i had to go back and do them at least 3 times because of NPC's pestering me or attacking me infront of guards causing me to fail the mission.
No subtitles during gameplay?? what's up with that no matter how hard I tried couldn't get subtitles and it did prove quite difficult if you hadn't heard what was being said!!
Overall good but not great game. but then again it's not really my sort of game.- Was this review helpful to you?

Absolutely Essential.
By a customer , 20 Nov 2011This game is the vital start to the Assassin's Creed storyline. It shows you where it all began, helps you learn the basic controls, and sets you up for the succesive games in the series. Some may call it repetative, but the storyline will keep you interested. I am an impatient lerson and I managed to do all 44 achievements, including the flags.- Was this review helpful to you?

Full marks!
By mrcheeky (7 reviews) from Peterborough , 14 Nov 2011Awesome gameplay, an engaging story, a great combat system. The whole animus thing draws you in to the story and provides a good interface. My favourite series, without any doubt.- Was this review helpful to you?

missing something else
By je55ica (7 reviews) , 27 Oct 2011Too repetative. Story telling is too long. The game itself it pretty and I like the idea of it but it needs something more- Was this review helpful to you?
