There is a good story hidden somewhere in this film, but please don't waste almost 3 hours of your life trying to find it. Brad Pitt is rubbish, and so are most of the other actors, easily the worst film I have seen this year.
I've never been a fan of westerns but decided to watch this as Brad Pitt was in it. It was hard to watch simply because it was so boring. I started hoping early on in the film that the assination would happen so I could be put out of my misery! I strongly recommend avoiding this tedious attempt at whatever this film was supposed to be!
It sounds like the name of a painting. Or possibly the name of the theatrical sketch in which Ford reenacted his inglorious deed several hundred times for the benefit of eager Easterners. It suggests a pivotal moment, frozen in time. And that's what it's about. There are things you should know going in. This isn't an action-packed celebration of derring-do - not by a long chalk.
