Assassination

A sinister senator wants First Lady Laura Craig dead, and his henchmen are doing their best to make his wish come true. As a result, Craig goes into hiding, accompanied and protected by aging Secret Service agent Jay Killian. Complicating matters is the fact that Craig and Killian hate each other, so they're trading insults as they dodge bullets and escape explosions over land, sea and air.     Bronson at best.

    I was disappointed as I did not check the year that this was made and felt I would be disappointed with the film. As it turns out however I was pleasantly surprised to find it was a great action movie. Great story too.

The film, which stars Daniel Day Lewis as a greedy oil investor, was directed by paul Thomas Anderson who was named as best director of the year. Day Lewis took the award for best actor.
