This film should carry a message warning you not to look too deeply for rhyme or reason or you'll end up with a nasty headache. Just ignore the holes in the plot and concentrate instead on the rivalry that develops between hitmen Sylvester Stallone and Antonio Banderas, especially when Stallone becomes enamoured of their target, hacker supreme Julianne Moore. Director Richard Donner lets Banderas get away with a lazy performance, but Stallone has rarely been so interesting.

    very cool!

Basically this is about hit man Robert Wrath {Sylvestor Stallone} who decides to retire from being an assassin. however, a mysterious sender has sucked him back into the job for one last time. it all starts at a funeral attack by an evil sniper named Miguel Baigne { Antonio Banderos} who is sent out by his boss to murder a thief called Elektra { Julianne Moore} who has a disc which they desperately need. fantastic scenes. great entertainment. i loved the scenes in Spain!

    No, I am Number One!

Ok, here we go with another Stallone action vehicle where he gets to pout a lot, show his flabby muscles and say stupid one-liners, how refreshing. But what I am surprised about is Donner, of Omen, Superman, Lethal Weapon and Goonies fame making such a sloppy turd of a film. Boring and silly, especially Banderas whose accent is so over the top I'm sure he's putting it on, I bet his real names Fred Smith from Stoke-on-Trent.

Banderas to go behind the camera

    • 16 Nov 2005

The Mask Of Zorro star Antonio Banderas is to return to his homeland Spain to direct a movie. After his directorial debut with Crazy In Alabama the Spaniard, who made his name in the US starring in Philadelphia, Assassins and the Spy Kids films, has waited seven years to step back behind the camera. Banderas is to direct El Camino De Los Ingleses (The Road Of The English), which is set in the late 1970s and is a coming of age story based on a book by the Spanish writer Antonio Soler. The film...
