Asterix And the Vikings

While Asterix and Obelix are attempting to make a warrior out of Justforkix, the nephew of their chief, the Vikings are getting restless. Due to their brutality the inhabitants of the surrounding areas of the Vikings have fled. The Viking chief believes these people have flown away due to the fact that "fear gives them wings" and he insists that someone brings him "A Champion of Fear". The Vikings manage to kidnap Justforkix and convince their chief he can fly. Asterix and Obelix go off in search of Justforkix, but have trouble convincing him to return.

    Delightful for 30 somethings and children alike.

    Having read all the Asterix books as a child, I have viewed (along with my two boys aged 7) all the Asterix films available and with mixed results. Others aside, this is a true rendition from the book and well drawn and the film has captured the spirit of Asterix and all the other characters.

    Fantastic film

    This is a wonderful film. Plenty of action and physical fun for children, and plenty of humour for adults eg SMS the message carrying pigeon. We watched this as a family and thoroughly enjoyed it. It should appeal to Asterix and Obelix fans old and new.
