Was a mixed bag really, im not one for the subtitled films so instantly this lost marks but then its my fault for watching it, but what can I say? It's accurate, compelling and down-right gritty, keeping you hooked, if all be it a bit poorly acted.- Was this review helpful to you?

By Seedyvee (183 reviews) from Grantham , 19 May 2013This is another of those films like 'Paschendaele' that has a title that leads one to expect a grand historical epic but delivers instead the private story of a few individuals caught up within the overall theme. As it is based on a true story it commands more respect and the horrors of the siege are well conveyed. interesting take on the Leningrad siege

The battle is going on out there in the distance… Good movie, just don't expect much details about the military operations etc… Decent acting and effects.- Was this review helpful to you?

Amazing Story but a little Boring.

worth while history lesson
