Or you can rent each disc individually:
This DVD of individual special episodes is unlike your usual Attenborough wildlife series. He begins by pursuing the bird of paradise and then with an introduction to his ventures as a younger man, and indeed you get to see him in the New Guinea rainforest meeting jungle tribes who have never seen a European before. Some of this is truly pioneering stuff, with beautiful photography as any Attenborough fan would expect.
I've given it 4 stars, only because the flow of the episodes is quite eratic, and it's difficult to pin down the theme of the series... it's not always about wildlife, sometimes about civilizations, or an interest of David's own, and the location of each episode changes seemingly without any relevance to the last episode.
Nevertheless, this is Attenborough at his most passionate, and the visual treats are top-notch. This is what we pay our tv license for.
quality work by Mr D Attenborough
