British TV at its bestBy Brian Clarke from London , 07 Jul 2004
[Highly rated reviewer]This is a gem and one of the best written, finest acted shows ever made. If you remember it from the 80's then see it again because it's every bit as good as it was. If you've never seen it - do yourself a favour and watch it - and ponder why tv never reaches such heights these days.

'Auf Wiedersehen Pet - Series 1 - Vol. 1 : Episodes 1-3' (1983)By a customer from Radlett , 21 Dec 2008An absolute classic series- 25 years on it was if anything even more enjoyable than 1st time round. Great actors effortlessly producing very entertaining and sometimes understated comedy while at the same time contrasting a range of fascinating characters. The underlying political message is delivered with great subtlety
classicBy a customer from South Shields , 27 Oct 2008could watch this other and other again the first series is still the best but i love them all
Brilliant............simple as thatBy a customer from Newcastle upon Tyne , 23 Oct 2008The best British TV programme ever.
By turns sad, touching and hilarious and heart warming.
The characters are wonderful, it's fantastic to be able to put in a DVD and spend some time with old friends, lunatic Oz, boring Barry, womaniser Wayne, fatherley Dennis, gentle giant Bomber and innocent abroad Neville.
The individual stories stand up to be watched by themselves but you really need to watch the whole series in order to appreciate the relationships involved between the characters.
A real pleasure that bears watching time after time.
I would give it 100 stars if I could
brilliantBy a customer from Bradford-on-Avon , 15 Oct 2008loved Auf Wiedersehen Pet classic tv, Oz has me in stiches all the characters are great, good stories.
A good easy night's viewing.By a customer from Enfield , 19 Aug 2008With repeats on the TV it was nice to catch up with this series at the begining. The well written script and delivery of the lines still make for easy nights entertainment. The characters are every bit as annoying and antagonistic as ever yet I love the way each episode allows one character the chance under a spot light.
