International super-spy and reknowned ladies man Austin Powers (Mike Myers) returns for another exciting adventure when his father, Nigel Powers (Michael Caine), is kidnapped by the flakey-skinned, super-villain, Goldmember. Austin teams up with his old girlfriend Foxxy Cleopatra (Beyoncé Knowles) and heads off in search of the old man, eventually tracking him down in modern-day Japan, where Goldmember has teamed up with Dr Evil in another plot to hold the world to ransom. I don't want to say the movie wasn't that good, but my expectations were not met. I’ve given the movie a 4, but I was expecting a little more. At times I was laughing so hard my sides hurt, but at other times I was left struggling to maintain interest. Mike Myers was great as Austin and Dr. Evil, and it would’ve been nice if Fat B*st*rd could have had a greater role. Goldmember should have stayed at home. Hopefully, we won’t see him if they make an AP4. The thing about this movie was there were slightly too many characters for a 90 minute movie. Beyonce Knowles was a little disappointing as Foxy Cleopatra by simply not fitting into a comedy role. Michael York is just plain Basil, Seth Green was not that good as Scott Evil as he was in the other two films. Michael Caine was pretty average as Austin's father and Verne Troyer as Mini-Me was perfect. The best part of the movie was the cameos. I don’t think ‘Goldmember’ is quite as good as the first two, but it is very good.

it was a case of one too many for me, good character but if this is to be a good film, it needs a thorough plot, it starts good, with excellent comedy but drabs off after 20 minutes

This is like marmite you either love or you hate it, and I loved it. Its just easy watching bit of fun.

A classic, if you don't like it then there ish no pleashing you! A must see and by far the best of the three films.

Third Time's a charm

In the first viewing, this is probably the least entertaining of the trilogy. However this is no put down, this film is probably the most lovable once it settles in your DVD collection. Very funny, and very re-watchable.
