With the help of gorgeous agent Felicity Shagwell, the newly single Austin must now not only contend with Dr. Evil, but also Evil's vicious, pint-size attack-clone, Mini-Me. Also in this installment, Evil's son, Scott, finds out who his mother is and Mike Myers stars as a third character, rotund Scotsman Fat Bastard. More raucous fun in the spirit of its 1997 smash predecessor.

If you liked the International Man of Mystery's first adventure, then you'll love this shagadelic sequel, in which Austin Powers (Mike Myers) goes back to the 1960s to reclaim his mojo, which has been stolen by his nemesis Dr Evil (also played by Myers). While the star and his returning director, Jay Roach, revisit the same free-for-all secret-agent spoofing of the original, they do it with just the right degree of retro style, knowing geniality and complete lack of taste and restraint. Heather Graham is an adequate replacement for Elizabeth Hurley as Powers's mini-skirted sidekick, and the result is a lava-lamp lampoon as stupid and (for Powers fans) as sophisticated as the first psychedelic excursion.
The mixture is much as before, though with a greater preponderance of fart jokes, and a few engagingly silly moments. This time around, audiences who had stayed away from the first Powers film flocked to see this one.
Ive just watched Austin II for about the tenth time and its still as good as the first. I like this movie more than the original. From start to finish, from the very first scene to the very last, I laughed harder than I almost ever have at any other movie. Some of the witticisms were taken from the original, but many were new and just as inventive.
Myers, as usual, is amazingly diverse, playing three characters this time; Austin, Dr. Evil, and Fat B*st*rd. The script is wonderfully written, and there is never a dull moment. Rob Lowe does a very good job as the young Number 2.
Heather Graham is amazing. Liz Hurley is one of the most beautiful women in the world, but Heather, with her sensual looks and actions, has her beat. Everytime she looked at Austin with that ' Lets go and Shag' look I found myself wanting to be the international man of mystery. Schwing
'Mini-me, we do not gnaw on the kitty.'
ace,top film, i suggest a curry and some lagers for this great film
