By MartyP (7 reviews) from UK , 08 Mar 2013He's gorgeous !!! 'nice' film, family viewing. Soppy story line, predictable ending but it's still a good night in with this one.- Was this review helpful to you?

By sa77 (25 reviews) , 22 Oct 2012Picked this on the off chance, and although a slowish start, it drew you into it. The scenery was breathtaking, and Nicole Kidman was her usual perfect self. Enjoyable.- Was this review helpful to you?

Advance Australia
By ILM (1 review) , 27 Jun 2012This was a fabulous piece of film-making. Its superb breadth and depth lived up to its epic title.
I liked the actors in their roles but didn't like the choreography of their love scenes, or their lack of chemistry. However from viewing Hugh Jackman initially as a bit of a ham I enjoyed watching his character develop emotional depth, particularly in the bombed-out bar scene.
I also loved the mixed-metaphor use of Nimrod by Elgar in the scene where Nullah joins his grandfather on walkabout. Only a maverick would have thought of using this piece of music for such a scene. And it is strangely perfect.- Was this review helpful to you?

Worth a watch for the romantics out there
By a customer , 25 Jun 2012Very watchable film (if for nothing else, for Hugh Jackman!). Nicole Kidman's english accent is a bit dodgy at times but if you enjoy romantic films, this is for you.- Was this review helpful to you?
