It's a shame that the late Anthony Quinn's final film was this patchy romantic comedy. Compared with some of his great work, a fleeting role as a Mob boss seems so inconsequential. Still he handles himself with dignity, standing out in a sloppily acted film that can't quite decide what it wants to be. Alternatively serious and slapstick stupid, the picture stars Sylvester Stallone as a Mafia bodyguard who vows to protect Quinn's secret daughter Madeleine Stowe after the kingpin's murder. Stowe's contribution is little more than hysteria-prone eye candy, though Stallone demonstrating a softer side has its charm. However the lame dialogue, slack direction and inappropriate fart gags ensure that an already weak concept becomes a forgettable distraction.
I've always been a fan of Stallone's acting, and this movie does not disappoint. It has a good mix of wacky happenings and serious discussion.
The characters are instantly loveable, and the story is quite entertaining. I really enjoyed watching this movie.
I thought it was another good film from Sylvester I enjoyed it. It is worth watching its funny and has action in which is a good combination
