Painful but amazingBy flower (38 reviews) from Hove , 17 Nov 2006
[Highly rated reviewer]I urge everyone to go see this film - at the cinema if possible - to be part of the incredible emotional journey this movie takes you on. The film is composed of three concurrent storylines set in three different locations: Morocco, Japan and Mexico. The stories are formed like one photograph that has been ripped into three and then pasted back together in crooked fashion - the points of connection make an incredible, indelible impact on you. Notable performances for me are those of Brad Pitt, Japanese actress Rinko Kikuchi and the young goat herder Boubker Ait El Caid, all victims of the mysteries of small, but significant moments of chance. This is a tapestry of emotion and how a moment in time can change everything. It's heartbreaking and painful - but ultimately a great and thought-provoking journey.

dreadful filmBy baz995 (1 review) , 11 Nov 2011If Love Film had a no rating option i would have selected it, unbelievably dull, about 3/4s in i not only had no interest in the characters, so much i didnt care if they made it or not, but i had lost the will to live.
What was Brad Pitt thinking picking this script up!
143 minutes of my life i will never get back

Terribabel filmBy Ben27 (13 reviews) from Somerset UK , 09 Nov 2011What a terrible film. Why did Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett get involved it's a complete waste of their talent.
Slow, boring and depressing I felt like switching it off after 10 minutes but persevered to see if it improved but it didn't.
This is the lowest rating (1/2 a star) I have given a film.
Amazing film!By ClaireDior (34 reviews) from Kilbirnie , 03 Nov 2011This is such a great film, I know it was very slow and was jumpy between the storylines that unite with each other at the end, but it was done so good I already regard this film as a masterpiece and is so cinematic yet I have only saw it once so far.
It has a long running time but for me anyway it has to be that way for the impact to work. I honestly got to the stage where I was looking forward to going back to one of the storylines to see what was going to happen next.
I read someone say this is unconvincing, sorry but I totally disagree, the acting was superb, and although a kind of unusual film, this could actually be factitious, I just mean I did find it believable. I recommend this film but only for people of patience and are willing to sit for over 2 hours concentrating, but take it from me it is well worth while, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
