I'd reccomend this for established fans of Babylon 5 but if you have not watched at least a few of the series, stay away.
The film is essentially a prelude to the series but as one of the main enjoyments of the series is the manner in which the ongoing plot unfolds, this film tells you too much of what is to come.
As a film, it doesn't rate highly but as an addition to the series it works fine.
This movie gets you upto speed.
Working your way thru the series is the best option - this movie is more of a pracy.
You can watch the DVD movies to speed thru all the seasons. However the Shadow Wars is where this series really comes to life.
The end of the series, the last episode when it was cancelled is invigorating, and inspires some of the dirrection in stargat SG1. The movies at the end of the series feel like they were milking it (excluding Thirdspace).
