Never again

I had to switch this off after about half an hour. I was in danger of being stereotyped into an early grave. Some of the special effects were good but couldn't save it.

This suffered from a cliche ridden plot, predictable characters and a hero that you wished would get killed off early on, if I were one of his crew I wouldn't be battling the bad guys I'd be trying to shoot him. Pity, I liked Babylon 5 when it was on TV.

Another wasted opportunity to expand B5's Universe.

Remember this was a pilot for a series!

As a one off, yes it's cliched and the characters didn't really have a great deal of depth, but when compared to B5's The Gathering (B5's Pilot) it had a lot going for it.

The effects were the same high standard as B5 and the characters were funny and engaging. Unlike B5 they introduced the main enemy straight away (B5 was half way through the 1st Series before you met the Shadows) although you have no real idea of their capabilites/looks.

Only reason I don't give this 5* is because of the 'ghosts'. B5 has touched on Religious stuff in it's past, but has never felt the need to actually suggest hauntings (usually the 'haunted' areas were 'Old Ones') by 'true' ghosts.

Like Crusade it had potential but was never given the chance to grow!

Don't waste two hours of your life

I love the original B5 series and was hoping this would be a good follow-on.

I have to say it's the worst drivel I've seen on TV for a long time. How production companies get funding for this rubbish I don't know.

Don't waste your time, it's two hours you won't get back.

Bad acting / writing / direction / effects ... nothing redeeming at all.

Babylon 5 legend of the rangers

This film is a fantastic sequel to babylon 5, for those sci-fi lovers of the series this is a must watch film. bravo and I hope there is more out there to continue the series either in rangers or as babylon 5 would be fantastic.

Enjoyable

I found this DVD entertaining and worth watching. Special effects good as always for Babylon 5. Was this a trailer for a spin off series? It certainly felt like it. The only character from the series was G'Kar. Straight forward story line which is a lead on to further stories.

This wasn't a bad movie, I have to confess, we already own the series, our son bout it for us a couple of years ago, and this movie wasn't available then.

We were disappointed a bit, it's not half as good as the series, but we will buy it later on, to complete our Babylon 5 saga.

It may appeal more to other people - who's expectations aren't as high as ours.
