Chaos ensues here as Tom Hanks's bachelor binge degenerates into a bawdy riot, in a plot similar to the formula used in National Lampoon's Animal House and Porky's, but with grown-ups. Neal Israel's bid to produce a riotous comedy doesn't really hit the mark and Hanks, already showing early promise, is the film's only redeeming feature.

    • Radio Times
  • Crude, exploitative farce full of physical mess and tending to get most of its humour from the destruction of order and some teetering on the brink of pornography.

    Tom Hanks' finest hour

Pure comic genius of the type only men can understand - do not watch this with your missus (she'll only spoil it)! An absolute blast from start to finish and a must see for all men who are still clinging on to batchelorhood or merely reminiscing about it. Get your mates round with some cans and enjoy.

    bloke film blueprint

Naked chicks! Drugs! Drinking! Naked chicks! Dead livestock! Wrecked hotel rooms! Fast cars! Breasts! Nuns! Fights! this film has the lot for good old fashioned mindless bloke fun. If you like Animal House and stuff like that this film is for you. My girlfriend hated it, and that suits me fine. Boys, this one's just for you. Rick (Tom Hanks, before he went all Oscar-winning), is getting married to Debbie (Tawny Kitaen - from THAT Whitesnake video) but before he does his friends throw him a bachelor party. Will Rick sleep with any women the night before he gets married or will he remain faithful? Will Debbie's persistent ex-boyfriend manage to sabotage things? Who cares, it's low-brow fun at it's finest

    Great Movie !!!

Tom Hanks is about to get married, and his friends throw him one big bachelor party. Naked women, large amounts of drinking and a donkey getting high all follow.

Of course, someone wants to ruin the fun, in the form of Hank's bride-to-be father. Naturally, all of his plans to ruin the party are foiled by the motley crew.it's a good funny movie.

    One for sunday afternoon

I've rated this as a 3 because I feel it could go either way for you if you haven't seen it. Personally I would give it about a 2 because not a lot happens in it and I find it hard to watch films with so many perms! It's really just a big party from start to finish with one amusing moment getting you to the next. If you like Tom Hanks I'd say you should watch this, he plays a rather cocky individual who is most unlike any other character I've seen him as.

    tense comedy!

Passes the time, provides light comedy, good film, and a Donkey on drugs!

It just shows how the 80's paved the way for the surge of teen-comedy movies, rent this and ferris bueller's day off together, for a right old-skool larf!

    A lighthearted comedy

Quite a good plot that doesn't seem to come together as it should. One thing that spoiled it for me was the American humour and the over reacting to each situation. However I quite liked it as light entertainment.

    Cool Flick

I was a fan of this years ago and thought what the hell, time to watch again. The dvd was waiting for me when I got home from work. I had a flick at the tv guide and saw it was on channel 5 that night. Typical! Good film tho!
