the worst film i have ever seen!!By Stephen Daniels from Swindon, Englandf , 06 May 2005
[Highly rated reviewer]all to often people write reviews to shock and think that by having strong views it means their opinion is more valid! this is not one of those times.. this film is truly awful! whilst being a huge Tony Hopkins fan, this film was clearly made to make some quick money! the storyline is awful, the action scenes laughable!
if you are looking for a nights entertainment though.... sit and watch this film whilst trying to find all the editing blunders!! (i counted about 5 on the first, and only watching) the movie looks worse than a badly stitched sweat shop quilt! the scenes don't run smoothly into eachother!! if you think i'm joking have a close look! honestly it is a farce!

"Hilarious Twists & Turns"By locococo (100 reviews) from The Surrey Hills , 26 Aug 2008(7th May 2008) Very slick & clever (wry 'n' dry), great wit and humour, fast paced with a fabulous combination of characters - high action & highly improbable !
two odd ballsBy faith (139 reviews) from uk , 17 Jul 2008curiousity made me watch this film because i thought the two lead roles would be chalk and chess and in a way it did turn out like that and they sort of only just pull it off.
the plot was quite predictable but nice ending, chris did inject a bit of his own charm into the film but it did not quite fit sometimes.
and what was anthony hopkins doing in that role, hard man...... hmm he just made it in his typical english like of way. Chris did the switch from one brother to the other quite well. not bad.
RubbishBy Micthetic (103 reviews) from Manchester , 12 May 2008I watched this to the end..which was some feat! Chris Rock is annoying to say the least and Hopkins was unconvincing as the hands on CIA agent, he should definately stick to more cerebral roles.
Yes there's lots of action, plenty of East European baddies that get their comeuppance but it all treads a very well trodden path and doesn't offer anything new and isn't done very well in the first place.
Don't worry this sort of film will be quickly forgotten, i'm trying to forget it already. You'll be able to find this in about two weeks in that remote part of Blockbusters where they keep the latest Seagal 'straight to video' effort .I'm still trying to work out how it got on my list in the first place!

Don't bother...By a customer from Scotland , 23 Mar 2007Rubbish,rubbish, rubbish. Save your time and money and avoid this pile of drivel.
Chris Rock should stick to stand up, cause his acting is truly terrible. Anthony Hopkins is great (as ever), but even that doesn't compensate for Mr Rock and the poor and predictable plot.
