this dvd is superb. My daughter wanted to watch it, and she was really glad that she did. Catherine Tate is superb, and we were very surprised, at how much she makes you like/dislike/and like her character again, throughout the drama by connecting with the audience, which is a hard thing to do!
There were some well placed parts which had us laughing a lot, (the peanuts spring to mind!).
It was all subtly done, and added at just the right places, to appear seamlessly with the story, and not done just for the comedy effect.
Watching the relationships between all of the characters, and what it means to be a 'mum' was beautifully done. It was such an enjoyable comedy drama to watch, which can be watched over and over, without getting tired of it.
We'd recommend this to anyone looking for a film with heart and comedy in bucketfuls.
